Hey guys and gals of jk forum! Proud owner of a 2014 jk here from NC I'm a 23 yr old LEO and new to forums.

While inspecting the storage area of my new jeep I noticed a mysterious pull string like ring by the door hinge pin storage. What does this do?

Are you talking about on the rear floor just inside the tailgate? If so, you lift it and twist it 90 degrees to open the storage compartment under the rear mat.
If that's not what you are talking about, we need a pic.
I am a newb too. Only had mine a couple of weeks.
