not-yet-JK-owner
HI EVERYBODY!!!! (hi dr. nick!)
Justin here, I live in New Brunswick. Canada, not New Jersey. I currently own a 97 ZJ which is my DD, and 91 MJ on 35's (trail rig). I have been contemplating trading in the ZJ on a yellow two door X which has been sitting at a local dealership and selling/parting out the MJ to mod the JK. this of course is all just in my head at this point. I have not even gone to try out the JK and have no idea whether I could afford it. I've been thinking about the following: 2.5 TF BB and 1.25 or 1.5 spacers. I've already priced this out and it'll run me about $500. I was thinking I'd keep the 35" Trxxus m/t's which I have on my MJ to use as trail tires, and keep the 32" 17's which come on it stock. I'd use the 32's on a daily basis, which would mean I wouldn't have to worry about changing gears (3.73), speedo re-calibration, or braking performance. Then I'd throw the 35's on for wheeling, which I really don't seem to do much of anyway.
Any thoughts? Sounds like a good plan in my head, what do you think? Also, I'm thinking I would leave the spacers on at all times, so what bs would Iyou suggest on the new 15" steelies I'd have to buy? I would want to keep the tires tucked in without having to worry about rubbing. Suggestions?

oh, did I mention that I have ALWAYS wanted a yellow Jeep? ever since I was a kid, I've wanted a yellow Jeep. I've been trying to talk myself out of this since the Jeep showed up at the dealership back in October. oh yeah, the dealership is right across from my office, and when they got it, they parked it out front to show me they had it. There I am, sitting at my desk looking out the window at the Jeep I've always wanted. I think they did that on purpose. I think I've finally convinced myself to go look at it. I've been rationalizing it a lot in my head recently (hmmm, maintenance on two old Jeeps vs. warranty on new Jeep = montly expenses close to the same....the MJ needs a bunch of work right now to make it roadworthy...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IT'S YELLOW AND I HAVE A GOOD-PAYING JOB!!!!!!)
