Three time Fuel Level Sensor demage (burning charring)
Hello.
My father is owner JK 2011 Rubicon Unlimited 3.8 L 4 with automatic transmisson. We live in Russia. And we far from dealer center.
In July, the low fuel light came on and the fuel gauge showed empty.
Was replaced by a fuel pump kit. A few days later the same problem repeated. Code P0463. Not understanding the reason, again replaced the fuel pump kit.
I read about the fuel relay inside the fuse box. In order not to have problems, such as a burned fuel pump, the TIMP was also changed.
Two weeks ago, the level gauge showed empty again.
I am stunned. Please tell me what to do? Ground wire is fine. No corrosion. Where does the current from the sensor come from? Why does the sensor burn?
What to change next? Chassis wiring? ECM?
