Default Tires.

I have a 09 stock Sahara. I want to get bigger tires but can't afford a lift kit yet. What's the biggest size tires can I get that will fit without a lift kit but won't look disproportionate when I do get it lifted?

That's a many faceted answer but ultimately a 33" tire will work for what your asking. 33's and 35's need more fender clearance to avoid rubbing off road (cut fenders or get new ones made to give clearance) and the wider ur tire the more u will need wheel adaptors/spacers or new offset wheels to avoid rubbing inside of tire on ur sway bar.

I run 33"s on stock suspension but i wouldnt put 35"s (i want 35"s) on until i get/cut my fenders and/or get 1.5-2" of lift.

33s will look silly with a lift over 2", like a roller skate.

So i guess to answer ur question in another way, cut ur fenders, get wheel adaptor/spacers and/or offset wheels and run 35"s until u get a lift.

Read up on here before u do anything. Lots of smart people with experience on here.

275-70-18...........11" wide 33" in height
285-65-18...........11.5" wide 32.6" in height
using the sahara rim

of course the Sahara rim back spacing maybe a problem with rubbing. 255-70-18 stock tire is about 10.5" wide 32" in height.

lift if you go with 35's, i have 2.5" lifted and the 285-65-18 , plus the hurricane flares..............35 will look better, 37" better yet.........but that's another ball game
