Anyone else who wish to join us please speak up! :)

*** Some of us might also run Signal Peak on Sunday morning ***

For safety reason. Please bring food/snacks & water with you. And I would also like everyone bring one sleeping bag per passenger, enough warm clothing as well as snow shovel if you have one.

Note:
Eagle Lake is a moderate trail, it is not a newb run. However, I will lead the group on the trail. We will do our best ensure the safety of the driver/passengers and their vehicles. And base on the condition of the trail as long as you have 32" or lager tires and NO STREET TIRES. Then you will be fine.

================================================== ======
I will also have on board Welders available IF anyone concerns about any breakages on the trail.

The Eagle Lakes Trail is a scenic four wheel drive tour through rocky terrain and dense forests. Early in the spring the trail can be very wet making for quite a challenge in some spots.
================================================== ======

Checked out Eagle Lakes today (Feb/01/09) with some ground testing, and seems like as long as it doesn't get more heavy snow, the trail will be do able for all of our vehicles. so I guess Eagle Lake would be confirmed!!!:ya:

I will post some pics of it later. Remember I didn't wheel more than 10min, since I was by myself, and the only vehicle on the trail right before the sun went down.

So much I would do for you guys!!!:bleh:

I'll throw it past Sean... More than likely he will poopoo it-
---> for too long he had to drive to Tahoe City for work 5-6 days a week- he hates that drive during the winter~ particularly on a weekend. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...izze/bored.gif

I've run Signal, and drove up Fordyce just past "Sunrise" before turning around (time issue). I would love to give Eagle Lake a try. The only hard section that I am aware of is "Driveline" and honestly I didn't feel like breaking anything the day I was there so I took the bypass..... I think its about 5000 ft there.

I will try and find a close by location & find out.

btw. Did you ever find someone to get your CB and installed???

Tahoe Inn

in King's Beach has very very low pricing, and allow pet, but its about 45min-hr drive from cisco grove. $37-53 per night base on the room.

All of us could do room share, just be sure no one is too drunk for the night!!!:D

2000TJDude 01-27-2009 05:13 PM

I stayed at a hotel in Truckee that allowed pets as well...... I'll do a little brain searching and see if I can remember the name for you....

noidea 01-27-2009 05:13 PM

so, it would be safe to asume there will be a bit of snow on the ground???
