So I finally got my hood parts in and am now preparing for my change over from 2008 Rubicon to 2012 10th Anniversary Special Edition Crush Rubicon!

Hood parts arrived last week. I got my paint estimate, including some custom work as well last week.

Today myself and two friends stripped my jeep for the paint! Steel tube fenders are gone. Front bumper and winch are gone. Gen Right Sliders are gone. Rear steel corners are gone. A pillar off road lights are gone. Side mirrors and wipers are removed. top is gone and rear duster too. Cowling has been removed for part of the paint job. Tonight I am pressure washing what remains of the jeep. Next Saturday am I drop off the jeep for paint.

Then I have to reinstall everything. While the parts are off I'm repainting all my steel, either satin black or truck bed liner. 7 days until it returns from paint and I can begin re-assembly.

Hopefully this paint job is worth the bucks!

 

No pics of it all torn down to pieces? Are you going to paint all of the other goodies in black or crush?

I wish i had gotten Crush... I think Crush with everything else some sort of silver or pewter would be badass. Looking forward to seeing finished product. Hope you're getting a non-metallic, probably wont show scratches as much

 

I wanted Mango.. but have grown into liking Crush.. Just ordered some black decals.. Ill save the surprise for later after i install them.

 

The paint shop kept telling me mango when I said orange crush. Finally I made them write orange crush on all my paperwork.

 

I didn't get to the final pressure Washing last night. When I uncover it to do the pressure washing, I'll take some torn down pics to post.

 

That would scare me. Maybe you should have them give you the paint codes too to be safe

 

All my paperwork shows crush. If it ends up mango i get a free paint job!

 

I would so do this if my interior color wasn't already a hint of green.

 

Do you have the khaki interior?

My friend has that and I just gave him my 08 gray interior when I put the 12 seats in mine.
