Going to check out Bald Mountain on Saturday 5/31. Will meet at 10 am at:
Tiny Mart Chevron
29460 Auberry Rd
Prather, CA 93651
I've not run the trail before, so if anyone who has wants to come along and escort us, all the better. I plan on making a day trip of it. Getting to Bald Mtn and then checking out some of the other trails in the area. Who's in?
here's more info:

Count me in for this run. Probably camp out somewhere on one of the area trails sat night. Ran this a couple years ago and it was a blast. Might want to post in the cencal section, find someone who really knows the trail and can provide guidance for other trails. I remember it was relatively short, several optional lines, and a steep ass granite hill to climb.

Hey guys. Just an FYI. As you go up Hollywood hill, put your drivers front tire ON the little rock on your right if you have a 2 door. It feels weird but it's a must. There's a big hole on rear passenger side. You could easily flip if you fall in it. Been there done that. Tire just barely goes on it. You will see the marks. Have fun! ( this trail is very mild and lots of stock 4X4 have done it all. ( even some AWD mini vans.) it's actually just a huge playground. Can't wait till the REAL trails open up that weekend. (ie... Coyote,Red Lake,Mirror,Swamp,Brewer Lake...) good luck and have fun!
