anyone doing wildlife photography?
i was going thru my photos and found this one of two male american bald eagles taken at the "Pennsylvania Grand Canyon" last summer. apparently it is very rare to find two males roosting this close to each other....

That's a great story!
I have had a few fox encounters when out in the woods taking photos. I have none worth looking at as the fox noticed me sighting him up in the viewfinder!
As I go through my photos ill be posting more!

I don't go out in the Jeep to just take wildlife photos but if one presents itself then I do. I don't own a lens for that so it also has to be closer. My longest lens is only a 200mm.
The only mammal I haven't seen in the wild here in so cal is a Black Bear. I have friends who have had them in their as well as Mountian Lions.
I know I could sit in a campground and watch the Bears come in and eat garbage but that's not the shot I want.

I hear you woody k, I dont go out specifically to get wildlife shots either but i usually keep the camera in the jeep and if there is something of interest then great. I do do enjoy photography and the jeep gets me to places that i wouldn't otherwise see.

I live right on the edge of a wooded park in philly, called Fairmount Park. Lots of wooded area with creek that runs thru it. When I go for a walk, I take my camera with me. When we had the house in Wellsboro, anytime I went to the PA Grand Canyon I went camera in hand.
Mariner, I love the deer shot. Nice use of color to frame the deer! Is that a waterfall in the far background?
