MicroSD cards for GoPro: Having lots of small or a couple large better?

Just curious for those of you that use GoPro Heroes, do you like to have several smaller microSD cards or a lesser amount of large cards? I'm borrowing a friend's Hero for Moab next week and need to get some cards. Amazon is having some good deals on Sandisk Ultras right now and I'm trying to decide.

I have 1 64gig. Pulling files off of 1 card is a lot easier for me

I have one big one also. Less to lose! :yup:

I got a 32 and it corrupted at the beginning of Fins and things. Couldn't figure it out. But next time i will know to take an extra card. I didn't want to format it because I had a video of a guy almost doing an endo right in front of me. But if I had another card I could have at least tried to swap it out.

But no matter the size, your going to want multiple big cards or a laptop to offload the videos at the end of the day. I easily fill a 32 at 1080p 30fps in a hand full of hours.

I have two 32gb and one 16gb. They can fill up fast. Never know when you may need to extra card. I paid a dollar a gig for lexar cards. Probably cheaper now.

Thanks, guys. Bought a couple 32s. Hadn't thought about unloading at the end of the day. Guess my laptop is making the trip too.

don't put all of your eggs into one basket. ;)

I use a 64 gb card in it and just in case I keep a couple extra 16gb ones for my DSLR and my gopro so I have plenty of extras ;)

Just make sure they are the class 10 cards which xfer data faster. A must for any HD recordings.

More to lose when it corrupts and you no longer have any footage of your trip, and no way to record anything else.
