National Parks! Lets see them!

How about a thread dedicated to our National Parks. Please say which park and time of year!

I thought we had such a thread, but it's probably buried deeply somewhere on the forum. My youngest son and I are national park nuts. We've been to 42 of the 46 in the lower 48. Here are a few of my favorite pic's ...

Teddy Roosevelt, Isle Royale, Voyageurs and Congaree (which we should visit this July because my son will be at Georgia Tech on a research project all summer and I'll go visit him (and I have other family there, too).

You might enjoy this page I keep up on SummitPost ...

IDK :dontknow2: Does this qualify for your post?

Some pics were taken in the summer of 2010. And some were taken early spring 2011.

I think OP meant just the national parks. The National Park Service has over 300 properties that they manage, but only 58 of them are actual national parks. Look at the link I posted above to see a complete list, along with Google Earth links to each park.

BTW: Ouachita Forest is probably managed by the U.S. Forest Service, and not the National Park Service. USFS, in case you're unfamiliar with them, is the manager of the largest road system in the world. Yes, all those roads through the forests, which were put there primarily for commercial purposes such as logging.

Awesome pics everyone! I hate threads like these! Southern New England has nothing in terms of natural wonders like the ones in those photos. Not to mention state governments around here outlaw 4x4's on public land like the plaque. Someday I'll make it out west to the promise land!
