Looking for a new camera after this last weekend. The old point and shoot went swiming in a river. I was able to get the pics off the SD card but the camera is gone. Need advise on a good waterproof camera. Leaning toward the Olympus Stylus?????

I have the Olympus. Picked it up at Costco for $279. I have taken some great pics in salt water as well as pools. Well worth the buck.

Olympus Stylus hands down! Had this for almost a year now and love it, have used in all kinds of conditions including snowshoeing in the winter, and under water. Have also dropped it out of the Jeep a few times... If i could go back i would get the 8000 for the extra drop protection/ waterproofing.

I think WOL has a video on here with it recently. That is the route I am going, and it has the protective casing included, scuba diving, snowboarding, wheeling ....all good with this thing...along with just about any kind of mount you can think of. and it is HD for only $299, (seen them on amazon for around $260 on sale as well)
