Is going from right to left because you do not have the speach for the Nav side turned up. Once you adjust the voice you will hear the Nav commands out of the left speakers.

I as well will be looking to get the lockpick as well. However, if I do all this work it seems I can get the mic and lockpick installed in about an hour but having this apart "Me Want" the backup camera as well. This seems to be the only thing I am unsure about. Any chance someone can snap some pics on how this wiring is to be pulled?

Oh... one last question.. If I do enable the Rear VES or what I call iPod connection, does this wire plu into the back? If so, do I have to cut a whole to pull this conection wire to the front or do I just use the iPod AUX connection slapped in the panel?

//Cheers

Default Company blacklisted for a reason

I just installed the blacklisted company's microphone and software update on my 08 Sahara. The Mic looks slick, but the U-Connect is still locked out, even after running their software.
This is really obnoxious that we have to go through all this pain to get features to work on the MyGig that should have worked from the factory. All they would have had to do was put a disclaimer sticker in the jeep letting your know that VR and Bluetooth performance would be degraded with the top down.

Way of Life- do you know if the Lockpick option is legit and does what it says it does? I'm tempted to call up the Better Business Bureau guys and report the Blacklisted company.

As far as that other company is concerned, I posted in another thread, they were banned here for falsely posting a review of their own product, and now on another board they've actually started falsely posting bad reviews of the lockpick mic, because it seems their business is just about to totally dry up now that Lockpick offers a mic.

I hope that between them being useless (if I had a mygig I'd want more than just my Uconnect to work) and their shady behavior that no one orders from them anymore.

I believe must have the lockpick as well for the mic for the uconnect to work. not just the software and the mic...

I have the MyGIG Lockpick and the multimedia audio\video input output cable and the MIC.

I will be purchasing the camera too!

This is the only way to unlock ALL the features of the MYGIG. The is the best purchase I have made for my jeep so far. I love it so much I wish they made a MygGIG for my 96 mustang now!

If you hold down the Seek up and Seek DOwn and the Menu button all at the same time you will open up the Engineering mode and then all you have to do is enable the VR.

At least this is all you have to do to enable it with the new software update that was free. 9.703.

Default Mygig with rear monitor

I have a question for anyone who has a rear monitor attached to the video out cable on the lockpick:

Is it possible to show a DVD on the rear monitor while showing the Navigation on the mygig display (same time)?

I have to admit that I gave in (perhaps too soon) and ordered that mic-whose-name-may-not be spoken ... but it works so I'm satisfied.

I put the camera in the bumper and ran the wire up through the passenger side taillight and into the rear ... along the side from there. Works great. I'll get pictures soon.
Here are pictures:

The rear, passenger-side taillight provides an easy point of entry for the camera wire ...

The camera mounted very cleanly in the bumper, with a flush finish that is hardly noticeable ...

The image quality is very good and I'm very satisfied with the results.

I've got an extra one (long story) that I'll sell at a significant discount if anyone wants to PM me ... and I'll throw in the necessary hole saw (drill bit) needed to install it. ... EDIT: Now gone, sold to a forum member.
