Default Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor Tires Installed *pics*

Just had 5 Goodyear Silent Armor tires (255/75-17) installed on my 09 X(S).

Since I use this more as a pre-runner/desert runner, mud tires seemed like overkill. I also wasn't too big on the idea of increasing the tire size. I settled on the Silent Armors (despite their dorky name) because they seemed like the best mix of dry handling, wet handling, and serious off-road traction.

I'm posting pics in case anyone else is considering them. They're definitely a notch more aggressive than the stock SR-As were.

Looks good. Any shots of the front? Are they the same size as stock?

I'll post some front and rear shots tomorrow.

Initial impressions:

1. At the Tire Rack's current $115 special, these things are a steal.

2. Wranglers can have actual steering weight and feel! Who knew? The new tires are a huge improvement in this regard.

3. They're definitely heavier than the stock X(S) tires. You can feel it in the way the tailgate closes.

4. Noise is low and grip seems better.

Looks good!-make how you want it!-its a waste of money making a poser Jeep-honestly, you're much wiser to outfit the Jeep based on the way you use, and drive it!-bravo!

Im currently running the same tires on my Jeep this winter up in canada and they do great in all the snow we got! Not so great on ice though ( i learned by sliding off the highway), but i don't think the goodyear wranglers were made for ice anyways
