Default Chrysler Recalls 300K Wranglers for Brake Fiuld Leak

This morning Chrysler is recalling every single 2007-2010 Wrangler for a possible brake fluid leak caused by the inner fender liners.

Has anybody had this issue here? I have seen they are VERY close on mine, and could rub the hard line without much encouragement.

Link about it here:

I am guessing the fix will be to trim the fender liner. That is about as cheap of a fix as possible, and I am sure they aren't going to spend too much money.

Nearly 300,000 Wranglers. I'm guessing that's all of them since the JK began production.

Odd, I just got a recall letter in the mail... but it was for the crossbar that the trailer hitch connects to. Apparently, whatever I'm towing may become disconnected from my Jeep.

That recall is for the optional towing bar, NOT the frame rail that the trailer hitch attaches to. It is for if you wanted to flat tow your Jeep behind something like a motorhome, not if you are towing something behind your Jeep. Unless you specificly ordered and bought one, you don't have one. Just make sure to stop in your local dealer sometime to let them know so you can get your Jeep crossed off the list of needing a potential recall. it only takes a minute
