I don't know the exact time, it was just an afternoon. I did it by myself with my hard top lift to help put on the rack itself. It was really simple to do. The directions are very clear and there is at least one good write up on this site.

If I did it again (ie I already know what the directions say) I could have it done in under a couple of hours no sweat. (I would say an hour, but the thing is way too bulky to rush that fast).

Installed mine a couple days ago. Didn't care much for the wind deflector decal so I changed it up. Can't wait to get a couple sets of lights mounted!

I also painted the bracket that the ladder attaches to silver so the "GOBI" lettering cut out of the ladder would show silver to kinda go with the Rubicon and Project-JK decals.

Note: I added a pic of the original Gobi decal that I borrowed from the official Gobi thread for comparison to my "new" decal. I forgot to take a pic of the original before it was removed.

Love the rack! I was pissed when I installed it though because Gobi didn't ship my quick discos with the rack... At first I figured "no big deal I'll just install the regular carriage bolts and call about the discos in the morning". That was fine and dandy until... just guess... No carriage bolts shipped either!!! I guess whoever packed it figured I wouldn't need carriage bolts since I ordered discos...good thinking if they hadda shipped my discos. So I was fortunate enough to bum a ride to Home Depot (just before they closed) and spent another ten bucks buying carriage bolts. The even bigger pain in the ass was they didn't have 3/8 - 1" bolts. The shortest they offered was 1-1/2"...so wrenching them on was a PITA!... All in all I love the rack. Gobi is shipping the discos and said they will be here next week...they also said the rack would be here May 22nd (arrived June 9th).

Enjoy the pics. Some are a little crappy cause they were taken with my Iphone.
