Thoughts on the new Rough Country 3.5 lift.
I installed mine yesterday in my apartment parking lot with a basic tool set in the pouring rain as I live on the coast. Wasn't fun but the fender flares helped keep me dry. Took me 8 hours from start to driving by myself. I was able to pull the drag link off of the pitman arm with absolutely NO damage to the boot. I used my pitman arm puller on it. I shoved it up there between the crossmember and the radiator. I get a ratchet up there and cranked...BOOM it came right out no problem. Try that if you are feeling spry.
So far so good, I like the look and the ride. Adjusting the drag link collar was a challenge but doable -> sucks in the rain haha.
Cheers dudes.

I should have figured!!! The dreaded DW came back. Im sure it has something to do with the trackbar. Previosly I installed a larger diameter bolt in the front upper track bar bracket due to egg shaping. Going to retorque all my bolts this weekend and may order front and rear adjustable. Damn you DW!!!!
Thought I'd throw some pics at this thread.

And finally my JK parked amongst some stock jeeps.

Oh I almost forgot to add this:
Pic of clearance of front driveshaft *note I did not install the lower control arms OR the washers for the skid plate drop. I am going to go another route than what was included in RC's kit.

Hope this helps someone..

only issue is my steering is like 1/4 of a turn off so my esp kick in at 50 klm and on the jack stand with the disconnects off even if ive chooped the crossemember and put on the shim the font diff is hitting the crossmember .
but love the ride it s awsome and the damper is super too !!

when we did this, I sat in the drivers seat while my husband adjusted the steering wheel. It also took a couple of test drives to get it pretty much 100% back to center. As soon as we got it pretty straight, all of the ESP problems went away. HOWEVER, be very careful on any clover leaf turns, as taking them with ANY amount of speed, makes that puppy go off, making it extremely difficult to take the turn. So, getting the steering wheel as straight as possible is imperative.
Should I go with the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift on my Unlimited or the RC 3.5 kit? Both seem to be decent kits. Not going to be doing any serious off roading but love the look of the JK with 35's. Drive shaft issues seem to be only if you are wheeling hard and sway bars disconnected?
