Took my jk to the dealer to get the recall done, i'm so f*** pissed off , i could have done a better job trimming the fenders my self....

 

WTF does fender trimming and a brake line recall have to do with each other? LOL

 

I think he is talking about the recall for the plastic inner fender rubbing on the brake line, eventually causing a leak. The "buttons" holding the inner fender loosen up, letting it drop down onto the brake line where it is routed just under the inner fender.

The dealer probably just hacked the plastic to clear the lines.

I have been checking mine but they are not rubbing. If they start, I will either fix the loose button problem or cut the fender myself.

 

Would you mind posting some pic's so the rest of us can see what they are trimming and maybe do it ourselves? Sorry if it seems like you turned out to be the guinea pig.

 

I still haven't heard anything for my '07.

 

I got the recall notice in the mail.

I looked at my rig, and since I am running a 1" BL, the fender liner is no where near touching the brake line. So, I will not be going to the stealership for this any time soon.

doesn't it require a running jeep to get it to the stealership?

 

Naw....... I was just going to have it towed to Landers, have them trim my fender liners, and then have it towed back home.

Don't you have a Mustang to blow up?

They did my 08 Rubi at the dealership. I had mine in the shop Monday for something else.
