Definitely would need a flash, and a console because the shifters are different. If you switch to Auto get a rubicrawler thrown in on that deal as well

The rubicrawler allows you to toggle between an additional hi and low range gear selector (you have an extra shifter located next to the 4wd shifter). You can run hi or low in 2 wheel drive, in 4 hi put the rubicrawler in low to have a 2:72 1 low range, in 4 low put the rubicrawler in low for a 7:40 1 low range. I really like the versatility and the quality of the gear box. Anyone familiar with Advanced Adapters knows they make nice stuff. I installed one in my 07 last year and have never looked back, Just my opinion......

Just an opinion, but I'd rather spend 2k on an Atlas than $1600 on an add-on that stuffs in the back of the stock t-case.

One of the bennifits of a rubicrawler is no need to have a drive shaft made because the rear housing of the tranny that is removed is exactly the same length of the rubicrawler. Dont get me wrong an Atlas is a nice set up as well.....for me this was a good choice.

For the lower gears...I have owned all manuals in my previous Jeeps this is my first auto....I love it ....would we really want everyone's Jeep to be set up the same?
