Thanks MJS for organizing and to ScottCarp / TreyB for the pics. My sons and I had a great time. It was definitely a lot of fun with the caravan of Jeeps and watching "BigFoot" play in the puddles.
My pleasure, literally. I agree - it was a lot of fun watching that XJ on steroids!

BTW, I went through a "touchless" car wash - spent $10 (2 cycles of self-service) with a high-pressure spray to get the mud out of the engine bay and undercarriage, as well as the exterior in general. Then, spent another $10 (for automated "no touch" luxury wash), and my JK looks like crap - I'm going to have to suck it up and wash 'er down by hand in the cold... the wax just layered on top of the muddy residue, so I've got streaking like you wouldn't believe!
I went to a power wash do-it-yourself place and now mine is sparkling. First I used the degreaser to clean under the hood, then I rinsed. That worked really well. Then I used the high-pressure soap to get the bilk of the mud off, followed by the brush (I really scrubbed). Then I used the soap again followed by a rinse and a sunny drive through fresh mountain air to dry it.

The key to it is using the brush. Any spot that I missed showed up with splatters and streaks.

Default Tolland Pics - Attempt 1

I'm new to Flickr, so you'll have to forgive me if there's some "better / fancier" way to display these. This link will bring you to my Tolland pics, complete with comments. I did NOT "black out" plate numbers, as 1) no one asked me to when I asked, 2) you're paranoid if you're worried about someone using it against you, and 3) we were wheeling legally, and have nothing to fear from law-enforcement, etc. Let me know what you think!

I use flickr to post and I love it. I make a smaller photo that people can click to see the full size. If you want I can explain it to you on the next trip.

Anyway, the way you did it was great - I watched it as a slideshow. Good job and nice photos!

Great pics, everyone. Looks like you had a great day. Love the fall colors.

One of these days we will have to make a trip up to join you. As our son is considering both Ollen College of Engineering and MIT, I expect we will be up your way quite a bit. Flat broke, but in your neck of the woods nonetheless.
