2012 Jeep Beat Up at Railyard
SO CLOSE... yet so far. Sitting at the railyard in Council Bluffs IA and massive hailstorm rolled thru. Railyard can't release it until their insurance company inspects it. Dealer says good chance we have to re-order.
So much for getting the 2012 I've been patiently waiting for since June.

8/22: Found out today Chrysler TOTALLED it! and they're expediting build of a new one.
On the bright side maybe they've worked the bugs out of the production line. i.e. maybe my A/C will work

It really really sucks. Was going to pick it up tonight.
Trying not to get too depressed...
Also trying to decide if I want a "used" Jeep after they re-skin and repair it. On one hand could be a massive discount. On the other hand is a "new" Jeep that's been body totalled.

Not wanting to hi-jack but I have to tell someone!
How's this one..... My 2dr Rubicon showed up at the dealer Weds night after sitting at the rail yard for almost 5 days (it's about 45minutes south of the dealer). Went to do the walk through and the A/C fan will not kick on thus NO A/C. Looks to be a software problem and they have not been able to get it fixed. Been sitting at the dealer for the past 2 days. It's got the regional engineer stumped and they don't know what is causing the problem. Dealer is pissed, I'm getting pissed...
Ordered the Sahara Tan and if they have to reorder my Rubicon I want get the color I wanted... Plus the HUGE delay. Need this Darn thing for development work!

No worries about the Hijack. Atleast my business isn't depending on getting it.
Official tracker status is now "On Hold". Was kind of hoping they'd take it to the dealer anyways so I could see it. But looking at the pics from the damage in that area on the news and cars are very messed up. Windows all busted out and bodies dented to heck. Even if it's fixed there's likely water damage and electrical issues.
Not looking good.

Official tracker status is now "On Hold". Was kind of hoping they'd take it to the dealer anyways so I could see it. But looking at the pics from the damage in that area on the news and cars are very messed up. Windows all busted out and bodies dented to heck. Even if it's fixed there's likely water damage and electrical issues.

Our XHD and new aluminum bumper will need a drop down bracket for the power brake booster located on the driver's side frame horn, and a revision to the intake tube for the snorkel system will allow it to work from 2007-2012... Need the Jeep to finalize these and other revisions...

Maybe we can make some lemonade out of these lemons…. If your JK was a 2dr Rubicon (6speed) maybe I can get your computer…. That is if they want release it..

Kidding aside I hope you have better luck than I.
