2007 Hardtop on 2010
I've answer this many times now.
The tops are all phisically the same size and will fit on any year jeep.
So the difference are
Freedom panels.
07-08 are the same ( center latches to not attach to the footmans loop)
09-10 are the same ( center latch attaches to the footman loop)
11-12 are the same ( different drip rails( outside) after that they are the same as the 09-10)
Back halfs
07-10 are the same. Smaller windows and only forward aligment pins.
11-12 are the same. Larger windows and 4 aligment pins.
If you want to run the newer back half of the top on an older jeep you need to remove the aft 2 aligment pins. If you want to run the older tops on a newer jeep just install and go.
For the freedom panels just make sure that they are both the same year (matching each other).
If you never had a hardtop from factory you will need an install kit ( wiring) for it and get the dealer to flash the computer so the defrost will work. As well you will need the 6 body nuts and 6 hard top screws for it to bolt to the jeep. Make sure them as well.
To help you out with it. I have an 09 that I'm using a set of 07 freedom panels with a 11 back half. It all fits and works I have the typical 07-08 freedom panel leaks but no other issues with t.
As for price, 4 door tops are quite plentiful so 500-600 range is kinda standard around here and on the for sale section so less then that and you will have gotten a good deal. As well make sure that all the windows are good they are quite expensive to buy if it's missing windows 100-200 range IMO.
As well to the other poster, the dealer says it won't fit due to the larger windows and the 2 extra aligment pins. It will fit fine on older jeeps with the aligment pins removed. The only year that will have problems are gonna be the 07-08 due to the location of the footmans loop. They will have to move the footmans loop over for the top to work on their jeep. That's about it.
Hope this helps you guys out.

Hey Pirate, you say that there are known issues with 07-08 freedom panels. Up until my wife got into an accident 3 weeks ago in our 08 JK my top has been rock solid and sealed really well. Now we just got it back from the auto body shop and they leak in the middle! It is like the side clamp style brackets won't tighten. So thinking the brackets must have been damaged in the wreck I ordered new ones and hey are no better.... Am I crazy? There was absolutely NO damage to the jeep other than the air bags deployed and there was a couple of scratches on the teraflex bumper. It didn't leak before... I looked at my buddies 09 and the panels attach on the middle footmans loop. Mine doesn't. You can actually easily push in the middle and the top flexes now. How can I make more secure??
HELP!
HELP!
Also on a note we just intalled my 2011 hardtop on a 2010 without removing any alignment pins this may be needed for a 07-08 only and not the 09-10 models

In 2009 that loop on the windshield frame was moved left a couple inches. I also believe a center latch was added to the freedom top panels in 2009.
I found this on a search.
I have a 2009 hard top on my 2007 model. The center loop above the windshield is in the wrong location (dead center) and therefore I can not use the middle latch (off center) for the hard top. Therefor, I just leave it unlatched. Other than that, it fits fine. It's been on my jeep for a few months now and hasn't flown off yet.
