Rubicon 13! JK-Forum's Run at the Rubicon
Well thankfully I did not become a sacrifice to the Rubicon gods. The goat lives despite all predictions and Cadillac Hill is conquered.
That was an epic trip I will never forget. Made great friends and would go into the trenches with any of you Rubicon 13.
After the trip I found an offroad shop in Sacramento fittingly named Carnage to get a part. I was really lucky to escape with minor damage on my mild/moderately modified rig:
-Broken steering stabilizer
-Sliders pressed into body
-Caved in factory Evap skid
-Small soft top tear
-Broken license plate mount
-Broken back up camera line
-Shorted ARB switch (it looked like someone was smoking inside my dash) Thanks Woody for the new switch!
Big thanks for Trail Leaders and Organizers of the trip.
I am going to spend the next few weeks making up to my jeep $$ .

Really epic trip! Thanks to everyone who lent a hand spotting, wrenching, cooking, cleaning, chopping wood, and everything else! Special thanks to Frank and Roger for their leadership. Roger and Keith for towing Beast up Cadillac Hill. Scott Ditch for always being there for Vince and I when we break. And, I was VERY impressed by Mike Dewey, Scott (don't know your last name yet since we just met) and a few more guys (sorry for no names but you know who you are) who got really dirty and tired under very adverse conditions on the side of a cliff and managed to change out a grenaded steering pump on Roger's Jeep in pretty much record time - that was amazing to watch!
Also, thank you to everyone who worked really hard, providing d-rings, a tree strap, and a winch to get Beast back on all fours after he flopped on Cadillac Hill. Speaking of the flop, I'm hoping to see a bunch of Beast flop pics posted - it was my first time!

Oh and I'm still pissed you guys BBQ'd some awesome chicken on Cadillac hill during Rogers repair while I sat in our Jeep up around the corner with the Toyota family ... Totally oblivious ;-)
