Well... I figured what the hell. Zip Ties kick ass! No-one will be looking under there but me (unless I am on my lid ). Then I go and post pics of it on the net! At least it will be easier to tear away if I get it hung up. It is actuall temporary until I get an aftermarket bumper and paint the horn black.

I mounted a pair of marine horns.. They sound decent, but I'm looking for something larger...

I mounted mine up in the front bumper.. It's protected them well from rock rash and grime... BUT... first time I went wheeling I filled 'em with water..

So, I'm looking for a new mount location, something a bit higher.

Just got me a 26in firetruck horn from a friend who works on them. He's gonna help with the install this weekend or next. Thanks for the write up, I'm stoked!

Alright, here are more of the pictures that I promised.

I tapped into fuse number M-22 (Right Horn) which is on the fuse block under the hood, forward of the battery. I fed that to a switch, then to the relay. When you honk the horn the voltage engages the relay which then shunts 12volts to the solenoid to allow airflow to the horn. The switch is great so you can disable the air horn when you need to be more discrete. I forgot to see which fuse I was tapping into for the Ignition Hot feed to the Air Compressor. But you can judge from the pic (black wire) and check with a multimeter. This is also controlled by a switch that controls a relay. FYI, for those that do not know... you use a relay to prevent a large load across a switch.

Here are the Pics:

Follow the Blue wire for the horn:

That tank is frackin' awesome!
I remember my brother and cousin having some of those water/air extinguishers in high school. Smartaleck kids would spray squirt guns when you drove through their neighborhoods. The kids had no defense against a fire extinguisher retaliation.
I wonder if those are still around somewhere....
