Default Seat Belt Chime

We own a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Recently the seat belt chime has come on after we are down the road and hit about 20 MPH and shuts off about 60 MPH. We have our belts on and yet it still comes on. I have tried the procedure to turn it off permanently but it does not work and keeps chiming. Any help is appreciated.

First, likely have one of the sensors bad. There is a sensor in each of the seatbelt receivers (the part you stick the seatbelt into)... I had one that was doing this. I blew air into the receiver and that fixed it.

Second, are you sure you did the 'dance' correctly? I know this worked on my 2011 and my 2016, so it should work on your 2012.

Disable the chime - https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...disable-84379/

This is a post for disabling it from someone with a 2012 - https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/stoc...onnect-215230/

Every now and then in my 2012 I get the chime from my driver seat belt. I just remove and reinstall the belt into its receptacle a few times and it stops chiming. I assume there is some crud in the sensor. Doesn't happen often enough for me to take any action.

I installed a Tuffy security box under my driver seat, and the chiming started. I just have to reach down and the connector near the outside edge of the seat and it goes away.

Don't know if this is still relevant to any of you but the Jscan app just added a toggle for disabling the seat belt notification.
