Amp installs in rear cargo bin?
I currently have my amps under my seats and am looking to relocate them in to the storage bin in the rear area. I have a 2012 Jeep JKU.
Does anyone have pictures of there install that would help be determine the best approach? The stereo installers in my area are clueless.
thanks in advance for the details

Your jeep so do as you please but......amps usually like cooling and you don't get much of that inside the storage area. I've found it gets pretty warm, despite the heat shield underneath it. Also, water tends to end up in there (based upon reading various accounts on the web.
Again though- your jeep so it's your call but I would put them somewhere else. I understand wanting them hidden but the cost may be the lifespan of the amp.

I think most of us are going to agree with Karl here. You are best off not using that cubby for things like inverters/amps/etc. I use mine for an emergency tow rope, booster cables, hammer, 10mm socket and driver, and a few spare lugs. Let your electronics breathe mate!

That made my decision easier. All valid points. I have been using the cubby for my tools and jumpers etc.. but had planned on moving those to some storage I added to rear tail gate. I’m going to stick with current location. Thanks for advice..
