Default Newbie here…swapping wheels and tires

I have a 2016 JK with 225/75/16. I just bought some 17” rims and not sure what tire size I should get.
No mods…yet and no lift.
Will 265/70/17:
rub?
need better suspension for the added weight?
make Jeep a bit taller?

Appreciate any help/info you can share.

Welcome to the forum. with 17' you cannot put the 16" on the wheel. You have many choices, look for an All Terrain tire and one with the Snow Flake classification.

You're good. use this to compare tire sizing https://www.calculator.net/tire-size-calculator.html. The key factor will be wheel back spacing and rim width.. The tire sizes you posted and considering. The 17 is 2.3" taller and 1.5" wider. The stock tire for a 2016 Sport S Wrangler was 255/75r17 which is a 31 inch tall tire .. 10 inch wide.. IMO..based on this you should be OK with the 265/70r17

Nice; looks good and will ride nice with the tires you chose. Keep posting up your questions.
