Not new to jeeps, learned to drive in a CJ-2 in 68, owned a CJ-5 for 35 years and a YJ for a short time that I was blessed with when my son moved here in 97 and now I have a 2010 RHD JKU that I purchased via goonet from mainland a couple years ago. Very very clean low klmtrs that I think was a grocery getter for mama San. Not many jeeps here, mostly Land Cruisers, Pathfinders and Jimnys. I am slowly discovering there are more differences than just being RHD, I think mine is a Sport S? Has larger tires (265/70R 17) than base models I think as I discovered recently that my front calipers and rotors are larger, rotors are around 13” dia and calipers are slightly wider to accommodate these larger rotors. Discovered this when doing a brake job and one caliper was sticking and difficult to compress and ordered a replacement and it doesn’t fit and neither do the rotors which are smaller. I’m having difficulty locating these parts online and not sure how to categorize them in a search.
This is when being a part of a forum helps, I know it helped me tremendously when I owned a Prado Land Cruiser and had never worked on diesels before. So if anyone has a suggestion on part numbers or where to go to find these parts that would be greatly appreciated as this calipers needs to go. My choices locally for parts is very limited, there is a Chrysler of Japan where this was originally sold at up on mainland Japan in Tokyo but that doesn’t help me here but I plan on trying the local parts shop with my title (which here is required every time you order a part even if it’s a wiper blade) and see what they come up with. I would much rather order online and have them shipped but my searches since I discovered I don’t have a base set up apparently has not achieved results. I do have a part number for the caliper (P68045827 AA) which a search shows as a mopar part.
