Default Bilstein 5100s w/ Teraflex 2.5 question

I recently scored some Bilstein 5100s (F4-BE5-E670-H0 and F4-BE5-E671-H0) and I was wondering if I need to use these with the shock adapters I currently have or if I can remove them.

I currently have a 2.5" BB, but after installing a front bumper and winch I will be replacing the front BB with a 2.5" teraflex coil. I've read one one site that the shocks are good for 1.5 - 3" of lift, but the box they were in said they were for 2" of lift. What do you guys think? Remove the adapters or leave them on?

thanks in advance!
