4in lift tire size recommendations
I am getting ready to have a four inch lift installed next week and I will be getting new tires and wheels in about 2 weeks. I have a 4 door Sahara with an automatic and 3.73 rears. I would like to stay away from regearing. I am leaning towards 33s, but if I could get away with 35s and a programmer I would go that route. Any suggestions?
man, 4in lift is tall for 33s. but 3.73s are gonna suck with that auto and 35s or bigger. Have you already bought the 4" kit? or can you get more like 2-2.5" kit and 33s. To me that combo looks good on a 2 door. I had 4.10s and 33s and it drove ok, I went to 35s and it drove like poop. Then I regeared to 5.13s and life is good. I used a 2" lift when I had 33s and now 35s on a 3" kit.
Well if you need more research these may help:

Bigbluejk is right on with the regearing advice especially with the 3:73 /auto combination you have. I just asked a similar question the other day and in the end decided on the 35's and the superchips at first and then save for the regear. I have the 4:10 / auto btw. My thread was here:

I've order the Rancho 4" sport suspension lift. If I went with 35s and got a programmer could it still be my daily driver comfortably or am I going to hate it without regearing?

I have 35s and 4.10s with the Hypertech flashed ECU...it's not atrocious, but I definitely want some more power. If you don't mind a little throttle lag...go with the 35s and a slightly calmer tread than traditional mudders for lower rolling resistance.
