I plan on buying 5.13 gears next week and i wasnt sure is i need overhaul kits or if install kits would be enough? My jeep is my daily driver
it has the dana 30 front dana 44 rear

here's my take on the situation....you don't NEED new bearings, so you don't really need to get the overhaul kits seeing as how your driving a Jeep a little over a year old at best right? Any compitent shop should be able to press and pull the old bearings without damaging them...so they should be totally reuseable. It's your call...I put new bearings in, of course I needed them 'cause I was doing this job in the garage, but it's also nice piece of mind knowing I've got bearings with only 5000 miles on 'em in a 35000 mile axle

Get the overhaul kit, it replaces all bearings and seals with new. You just get the bare minimum with install kit and re-use some of the old bearings
