13.50 or 12.50? What's the big difference?
I see a lot of people with 12.50 tires, but not too many with 13.50. What is the big difference besides price? Do 12.50's articulate more or what? I'm having a hard time deciding...
If you went with 13.5, you'd notice the difference in sand for sure, quite a bit in mud, not so much in rocks or gravel roads, and your miles would suck even worse. Other than that, not much difference.
Sometimes its just what that tire company decides to produce. Some lean more towards the wider 13.5, while other stick with a more traditional 12.5.
Also, I would think that some wheels couldnt handle a 13.5, while a 12.5 would fit, even if it was a stretch.
Mine are 13.5 in wide, but only beacause thats what was available in the tire I wanted for the wheel I wanted.
