Best Exhaust for JK? Need opinions
Looking into an exhaust for the jeep. I'm torn between the MBRP cat back 409 stainless system or AFE Mach Force kit. Difference are the MBRP is 2.5'' pipe and the AFE uses 3'' pipe. I definelty dont want a ricer sound if all possible either.
What do you guys recommend.

If you're lookin for somethin pre made, I don't think there's a better bang for the buck than any of MBRP's systems. If you're like me and are blessed with a friend who owns a muffler shop, then you might can beat that. If I had not had my friend, MBRP would be under my Jeep.
i've got a magnaflow and LOVE it!!! not obnoxiouslly loud and no drone whatsoever, but definately know it's there....here's a sound clip the day it was installed...it has since gotten a bit throatier since i's been on for a while

and one from inside..wind noise and grapplers kinda take away from the xound, but that's all i could come up with

MBRP Offroad exhaust gets my vote. Installed a couple of weeks ago and the Jeep looks much better without the big muffler hanging down in the rear. The sound is noticiable but not loud at all. Also, great price from Northridge.
There are a dozen threads on this subject and, being in the OP's shoes, I've recently read through them all.
While what sounds "good" and what doesn't is largely subjective, the consensus around here is MBRP makes the best engineered, best sounding cat-back system available for the JK.
2.5" pipe is more than sufficient to provide flow from the 3.6 (you must remember, unlike what you'll get at a muffler shop, MBRP's tubing is mandrel bent, meaning there are zero reductions in diameter or interruption of flow throughout the system).
My MBRP cat-back in black finish is on its way from Northridge...

The MBRP is on my wish list as well... Which one is everyone getting. They make 2 different types with 3 different finishes for each type. I'm not really interested in what finish everyone is getting theirs in but why type... The factory replacement style that retains the stock location of the muffler or the off-road type that relocates the muffler between the drive shaft and the frame???
