Default Wax on Hardtop

I have a father-In-Law (Girlfriends dad at least) who "helped" me out by waxing my hardtop...problem is that it is all turning white now!

It was done in July and it is all starting to powder up and turn white - what can be used to strip this without damaging the top itself.

Thanks-

3M makes a wax remover that you should look into getting. I use it when I detail the bosses car on the trim and rubber, it works great

Why would anyone wax the Hardtop? Only fix I can think of would be a light sanding and paint. Good luck.

try washing the hardtop with Dawn, it cuts right through car wax down to the clear coat on the body, so it may work on the hard top. It can't harm it in any way either.

x2 also use a nylon brush on it with the Dawn, works great and the only cost is some elbow grease.

Try cleaning it off with mineral spirits.

a white staedler eraser and a lot of elbow grease will remove the white wax

then never re-wax it again

Once you get the wax off, just use 303 on it.
