Default Can a bent exhaust pipe be fixed?

I got rear ended a few weeks ago and the only damage was the crushed bumper, bumper bracket, and tail pipe. This guy took full liability and its at the repair shop now.

I have the Rancho cat back muffler relocation kit and the exit was badly bent over the axle, instead of being round tubing...it was now oval and none of the hangers matched up.

They called me and said that the exhaust shop was able to bend everything back into place!

Is this possible? ??

I'll be pissed if I go to pick it up and there is some hack job underneath... I want the same quality that I originally paid for!

Doubtful, I'm sure it will still be somewhat out of round.

It could be bent "into place" as far as hanger location goes, but there's no way they can make the bends right again.

Sounds to me like the insurance company is going to give you the short end of the stick. Don't accept it and tell them to do it right. It isn't your fault the guy ran into you, he can pay the price.
