Default Using Hi-lift with MBRP rails

I went to the local Farm supply and bought a Hi-Lift Jack today. I then proceeded to swap out my summer tires for my winter ones. After using the H-lift on the passanger side MBRP rail I realized that I not only pushed in the metal on both the front and back lift points pretty good but also pushed the back side of the rail into the truck denting the metal and taking off the paint

Heres the details:
The Hi-lift pad that contacts the truck isn't long enough to reach BOTH the outside and inside portions of the lift points because the tube on the rails stick out so far.

Do some Hi-lift jacks have longer contact points? How can you get a Hi-lift to utilize the Hi-lift points on the MBRP rails?

Not a good idea to use high lifts on body only mounted rails.

They aren't body only, they mount to the frame as well.

MBRP said there were specificly Hi-lift points so regardess I would assume it safe and able to use a hi-lift with it.

Anybody with these rails know?

ya..ya know, I noticed it didin't reach the inside portion of the rail but i was desperate so i thought i would lift it just using the ouside portion of the rail. I should have known it just wouldn't go well. But now i'm curious how you are supposed to use a hi-lift with it. I'm surprised no one has posted anything yet.

Did you just lift on the tube part? that's probably the reason.

no i lifted from under the rail where the cut out section is specifically for the hi lift. the tube is the problem though. Due to it sticking out from the rail base portion, the hi lift can get far enough under the rail to reach the inside portion of the rail so i ended up lifting with just the ouside portion.

I'd say so.

If they designed and marketed the tubes with specific hi-lift points on them, it's definitely worth getting in touch with them.

They are not frame mounted. at least mine are not

mine bolt on just like the ruby rails do or factory side steps do

I have used a floor jack on mine but never lifted the wheels of the whole way. started to flex so i stopped and that was under the rail with a block a wood
