looking to tint my front windows. i wanna match the tint % of the factory hard top and soft top. what % have you had luck with?

 

20% is almost a perfect match. Yes it's illegal in most states... but it looks good so who cares.

20% is just about right. You might check with some different shops though, because different brands of tint have different color shades to them. Often they will look the same from the outside and match the rears well, but when you are in the Jeep looking out, the new tint might have a green or blue or other hue to it.

Not much you can do to get an absolute perfect match, since the hard top actually has tinted glass, not just a film applied to the surface.

20% on my black 4dr and it matches great. Yea its illegal here but as stated earlier who cares since it makes the look

 

What I mean is that if you stare at the windows, the lightness is a slight bit off. You will notice it because you'll always obsess over something new, but nobody else will be able to tell the difference. After a few days you will never look at the color or shade again and you'll forget about the minute difference all together.

 

cool. because if it was gonna be darker than the factory i would have gone with 35% but i was really hoping it would be 20% as that is what i have had on all my other vehicles.

I was asking the same questions about 2 weeks ago. i went to three different shops 1 was 20% other 2 where 15%... I went with 15% and it looks money!

 

Go 5% nothing less it was my favorite mod yet.
