Default Old Man Emu Stock-Light Load vs. Heavy Load

I was just looking at lifts on quadratec, and Old man emu had a stock light load or heavy load option. Would the heavy load option yield more lift? Thanks guys.

The HD's will put you up in the 3-4" range, depending on vehicle and load.

I got 3.25" up front on a 4door with heavy bumper and winch, some 2doors are reporting 4".

If you go with HD's, you'll also want to consider adj trackbars, a set of front adj control arms, longer brake lines/brackets, bumpstops, etc.

These springs are known to produce more lift, but if you do search you will find at least one member that thought that the ride of HD springs was too stiff and recently swapped them out.

It's just something to consider based on your personal preferences.

Default free...opinions anyway

I have the OME HD springs on my unl. rubi. and find it to ride very nice. I can say if your ride is light... 4,500lbs or less then it might be a little stiff.

Spending money is easy here....deciding on what to get is another story.

See the post below from WOL. There is also another version (919+40 & 918+40). That yields about 4-4.5" lift....

In fact, we have been running these coils with a set of 35" tires on lil' Nemo and I can tell you, the setup is perfect.

Well, we recently picked up a set of OME 919+40 front coils (+40 = 40mm or about 1" taller) and a set of OME 918+40 rear coils to see what kind of results they would give and, just as we had guessed, we saw a significant increase in lift. Right off the bat, we saw approximately 2" of additional lift but imagine that they will settle out and give us closer to 1"-1.5". Needless to say, these coils will yield a 4"-4.5" of lift over stock and, after taking our JK for a test drive, I can tell you that they still ride great.

Anyway, here are some shots of what lil' Nemo looks like now.....

Kinda makes them 35's look tiny, huh?

Hmmmm, I can see it now - with a little fender trimming here and there, a beefed up Dana 44 up front and a set of 37's, lil' Nemo won't be so little anymore. Oh, how one can dream - someday.... someday...

So how much lift would I get out of the OME LT coils on my X? I have winch/bumper up front, and bumper w/carrier out back.

These springs are not available yet , Wayolife got a prototype set and is going to test them for us to see if we want OME to produce them.

You are going to get between 2.75" and 3.25" of lift from the HD springs . And 2"-2.5" from the Standard springs.
