Change position of oil filter?

Change position of oil filter?
Anyone know of a product that would spin on and change the position of the oil filter to vertically mounted? I am thinking of an elbow but not sure if they exist.

seeing that the filter size, base plate and thread pattern hasn't changed since fidel castro took over cuba. something must be available. don't be jeep specific, look more for filter specific

If it helps a '99 Saturn SL1 with the 1.9L I-4 takes the same oil filter (I don't know if they have any relocation/orientation change products for them). I still can't believe it because that is my wife's car and when I went to do an oil change on both our cars a while ago I ended up coming home with two of the same filters and they both fit right up!

After some searching around I found that the thread size for the JK is 3/4-16 in and there are relocation kits out there for this thread size. Summit racing has them here.

My question is does anyone know if this would cause any issues? I guess it can't really get much worse than constant dry starts due to poor engineering. Plus, it would be really nice to have a filter mounted somewhere so it doesn't drip all over the front parts.

I've been using Napa Gold (Wix) filters for a while now and have had no issues with dry starts or bad gaskets/filter leak. As opposed to buying a kit to change the position of the oil filter go with a recommended filter like the Motorcraft or one of the Wix/Napa Gold. Or have you tried one of these already and had bad results?
