Question Rock Hard Oil Pan Skid Q

I'm looking into getting this,

http://northridge4x4.com/proddetail.php?prod=RH-6003.

The question I have is on the "...stock drivelines to clear this skid at 40in of flex."

That # in and of itself isnt telling me anything. Is that a good amount of flex, is it not? Is it the same as stock, more, less?

Thx in advance!

Lets just say that I do not have a problem with this setup on my 3" Teraflex lift on a 2 door with stock drive shafts.

This was one of the reasons I decided to do a full replacement pan instead of a skid. Doesn't sacrifice any clearance, doesn't weigh a ton, and costs less than most skids.

I thought the stock ds hit on the tranny housing on the oil pan, so you will still need a new ds

I have the Rock Hard skid plate in the garage right now. Looks like you need to remove that factory cross brace and skid plate, and not reuse. Her is a link to the Rock hard web site. http://www.rockhard4x4parts.com/jk-skids.html#oilpan Lots of pictures

I am not much help, hope it gives more clearance for the factory driveshaft. I already knocked off my metal clamp on the boot. Not sure if the clamp hit the Auto tranny pan, or the factory cross brace and skid plate. Going to use a zip ty on the boot for now.

I have 3.5 inches of lift and no issues with the skid plate at full flex disconnected.
Thank you for your reply. I was going to insall mine in the morning, but I just got an e-mail saying Jeep run in the AM.

Just installed my skid plate. Easy, spent most of my time walking in circles looking for tools

Saw where my boot got nicked, tranny pan. not the cross brace or skid plate.
