So im hearing this weird whistling sound that happens only when i press on the gas and keep it in the middle of throttle.......I check everything out and it looks good. I go to check the front driveshaft as it sounds kinda like maybe its going out like my rear did. Now i have a 2dr with 4inch lift and when i get under the jeep i can turn the driveshaft with my hand a 1/4 of a turn.....is this normal?????
I cant think of where this whistle or small whine is coming from.

4" lift on a 2door with the stock drive shaft? I don't know that the whistling is the front drive shaft for sure, but I can tell you that if you wheel your JK, then you're going to need a new front drive shaft fairly soon.
Whistling at mid throttle could be:
1. exhaust leak
2. serpentine belt (I have gone through 4)
3. soft top "leak"
etc...
Oh and check yer air box...

However, the whistling sounds like you may have cut the upper boot on the front driveshaft and now there is nothing to lube it. It should get louder as you go faster. Try driving along a wall or jersey barrier at high speed, then you will really hear it if that is what you got.
I have noticed the whistle about 1700 rpms to just under 2000. I think it is in the ttrottle body. These are fly by wire if I am not mistaken. So no linkage. I wonder if the throttle body bushings are sucking air. It changes pitch as you change throttle. Years back if a guy put too strong a return spring on the carb it woulld wear the pins. Maybe the cruise control has something to do with it.

I dont think its intake. Also i have no tear in my front boot. When im cruising along and i roll down the window I hear it coming from the rear almost. I do have an upgraded rear driveshaft and there is no play whatsoever in the rear.
Im stumped Ill try to capture some audio of it and throw it on here.
