Default Anyone have EVO Rockstar skids?

They run about $125 for a pair....http://www.offroadevolution.com/stor...?prod=EVO-1038

I want to know how much modification is involved since the highlights on the website say, "This kit requires cutting and grinding. This kit may require new (shorter) rear swaybar endlinks and/or coil spring retainers."

Also, are these compatible with the TeraFlex 6" long arm system?

Thanks in advance!

I have them...they are one of THE best modifications I have made. Definitely a good bang for the buck considering how low the stock shock location is. You do need to install them and then flex it out and make your tweaks from there. I ended up just switching the end links from inside to outside the stock location.

There's not much cutting or grinding. Just the bottom of the OEM mount. I already had spring retainers and adjustable sway bar links so that was not problem for me. The only thing that should be a major concern is the up travel on your shocks. You need to have an extra 1.5" of compression left in the shocks. Because of my bumpstops, I had more than enough

Thank you Robar, those pics you posted were clear and helpful. Especially about the bolt being too short if you have the TeraFlex axle mounted track bar bracket (which I have). Do you know exactly how long of a bolt I should get and what grade?

I also found this link in your thread, from seal20, which had some additonal good install tips.....https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...evo+rock+stars

I replaced the bolt with a grade 8 bolt, but I picked up several bolts of various lengths (so I didn't have to go back to the store), so I don't remember the exact size.

I have the tf rear track bar mount as well. Robar how did you make the skid fit with the bracket? I drilled out the hole for the bolt going through the stock tab to allow the bracket to slid down to clear the skid and still line up with the stock tab's hole...if that makes sense? Maybe I'll take a pic, but the only other way I could see it was cutting the tf bracket and re-welding it.. unless your superman and can bend it. Just trying to think of whats easier for JPT. Btw JPT these things are awesome. Also, find someone with a plasma cutter it will make your work 10x easier.

Myself and the two friends that were helping with my lift used what ever force was needed to get the holes lined up without cutting or drilling. It took us a while, but we fit it all together.

Sooo your saying your superman haha. Wow, that bracket is f'n stout i'm surprised you got it. Either way, a note for anyone else I used a drill press to widen the one hole on the tf bracket and i havn't had any problems.
