Default Just had alignment, now grinding noise

I just had an alignment done last week after an episode of death wobble on the highway (the Mrs was NOT happy). So I went into the local dealer for an alignment. The Jeep tracks better now, but when I recentre the steering wheel, either driving or not, at centre position, it grinds. I've gone under and can't find anything loose, and it appears to be coming from the pitman arm area - steering box. I did notice that the tie rod (attached to both ball joints and has SS on it..sorry, not 100% on this) can rotate up and down almost 1 1/2 - 2 " by hand. The trackbar bushing connecting to the pitman arm is damaged, but I don't think that is it, as I figure it would grind all the time if it was totally gone.

Any ideas ?

The tie rod is supposed to rotate that is normal. If it did not it would feel like you were driving a go cart. Trackbar bushing connecting to pitman? If the bushing is damaged do not drive and get it replaced immediately. That is probably your problem.
