I think that is a pretty broad question. I think a better question is what will be the best lift kit for you. To answer that we need to know a few things.

How much are you willing to spend?
How often will you wheel your JK?
What type of terrain do you wheel in?
How much on road driving do you do?
What is you mechanical skill level?
What size tire/wheel combo do you plan on running?

Alot of people complain about their lift, some because they just got cheap crap (as you stated), IMO most complain because they just went out and bought what they thought looked good or what they got for a good price without considering how they are going to use their vehicle on and off road. Basicaly they didnt put any thought or planning into it.

Consider what you want to do with your JK, how often, hard you want to wheel it and what if anything you are willing to give up (ride quality, braking, etc) and then throw all that in with your build budget and come back and ask the same question, I think you will get a much better and more accurate answer.

Since most of us use our vehicles on the street as daily drivers, and you mentioned long arm, I would go with the Nth Degree lift with the Teraflex long arm upgrade kit. If it is a bit firm for your tastes then go with some OME long travel shocks. Each person though will have something different since no one has the same driving style, uses their vehicle the same, etc...

I would think Teraflex's 3 inch flex arm kit would be pretty damn good. Site sponsor Joe can hook you up with all the right stuff.

I think you need to add Clayton Offroad to your list. They are are dedicated to making a great product and providing excellent customer service. Their kit is fully adjustable. They are also a site sponsor. Adam and Clayton are both great guys to boot.

Me personally , I wouldn't even consider RE. Too many bushing problems. I have ridden with a guy that had the RE LA kit. It rode very nice, he hardly went off-road with it, and had to replace the bushings within a year.
