Default electronic Sway bar discos on my x

If I found a junkyard Rubicon, could make use of the rubi's e-disconnects on my x?

#1 you will have to reflash the CPU
#2 you will have to install the rear True Lock (Rubicon) diff. The computer need it for the e-discos

I have e-disco installed from a Rubi. You need the e-disco, harness and switch. It will work without flash however your sway bar dash indicator will not work. The dealer flashed my PCM for free so my dash indicator is operational.

E-disco was an option in ALL JK's in 2007 and 2008. For 2009 it was Rubi only.

So you didn't need to swap your rear diff as mentioned in post #2? Did you install both the front and rear e-discos?

No such thing as a rear E-Disco. No to post #2 ... E-disco has nothing to do with the rear differential. Quadratec sells the E-Disco kit from Jeep. You can download the full PDF install instructions from Quadratec ... just search for it ...

The last trip I was on it was pouring rain and mud. I pressed the SWAY BAR button. The guy on the trail in front of me had to get out his tools and rain poncho and go out in the rain and disconnect his bar ...

I bought mine here on the forum for $350 shipped ... including the harness cut out of the Rubicon. It was brand new ... a hard-core JKer went with manual disconnects instead on his new Rubi. All I had to buy was the switch. The E-disco was a $750 option in 07/08.

Interestingly .... An Electronic REAR Locker was also available on X's and Sahara's in 07/08 as well ... also gone in 2009.

With the number of people posting about their E-Disco's failing, complaining about the cost to repair, and scrapping them for manual disco's - just not worth the price or hassle to me...
