Default roof racks

I'm interested in opinions about roof racks. The MBRP looks cool, but requires the hardtop to be on. The body armor one looks burly, but I don't know how hard the top is to lower with it on. How strong is the Garvin one? Anyway, these are some of my questions. I'm interested in what people who already have roof racks have to say. Thanks!

I like and have considered the MBRP, but I also like the Gobi. TimberWolf's Lift and rack

I'm also partial to the MBRP. I already have one on order, since I leave my top on pretty much all the time.

If I had to make a second choice, I'd get the Gobi rack. It's spendy, but everybody raves about the product quality, and it has a cool ladder that comes down on the back of the Jeep, left of the tailgate/window.

Check out gobiracks dot com or gobijeep dot com.

My Gobi is one of the best purchases I'd ever made.

Wow, that Gobi rack looks awesome.
Just one question about these sort of body mounted racks. Can I still fit a snorkel or will the front right bar get in the way?

Have sort of the same dillema...I've been back and forth about which rack to get I usually only need it for snowboards in the winter which is why I was really partial to the (MBRP) one, but am really interested about using the soft top in the spring/summer (Gobi). I've gone over and over it and still not quite which one I'm ready to go with. I may just order up the thule rack/gutter mount for this winter and hold off on the purchase. Plus I think that the MBRP one looks awesome only when you have the front part included in it not just the rear which kicks the price up a lot

Have you had a look at the Wild Boar Rack? It's pretty cool and allows for softtops to open and close, as well as taking off the hard top.
Why doesn't the Gobi rack have a front part or is that optional? The Wild Boar one covers the entire roof and has some nifty features.

I have the Kargomaster one and altho a pain to put the top down alone I still love it. I have the basket for it that I use when camping and I remove that for my kayak.

I did have to modify the mounting for my PJ bumper. I just drilled the bumper and mounted it directly to that instead of the supplied brackets and I moved the license plate.

I also cut the front pass side bracket to fit my snorkel
