Default Wheel width???? 14.50 wide tire???

I need to find out how wide of wheel I have to run with a 14.50 Toyo Mt. I have 12.50s on my jeep now with a 9 inch wheel. Can I get away with this. I was told yes by one tire shop and maybe by another.. Let me know what you think...

Toyo's web site says 10"-12" are the approved wheel widths.
It's common though for people to run on the narrow side, I don't think a 9" will give you any trouble.
