Question Rough country 2.5" progressive lift : Problems !!!!!!

So I've been having some problems with my lift, First I had a shock leaking oil, they replaced it, so thats all good ....

Now i've noticed that the rear springs are really compressed and touching on top, I went on the RC website live chat and spoke with Ben from Rc, he told me that it is normal....

A lot of people on this forum are having the same problem ...

What I find weird is that the kit is not even on their website anymore ???
Is it because they know there is a problem with the kit ???

I don't belive that this is normal, because from what I've read most don't have that problem...

My kit Is 3 months old, It wasn't like that at first, and lately the ride is rougher than before ....

I would really like to get comments for you guys who have that problem, have you spoke with RC??? What did they tell you ???

And it would be nice for RC to write on this tread their answer to this problem for all of us to read.... What are they doing to fix the problem, and most important what will they do for us that have that problem ????

I loved my lift kit at first, good service, very good price and the ride was nice at the begining....

But now I'm starting to feel like I should've went with something else....

I am not trying to bash on RC products, I have other stuff from them and I am very satisfied...

I was just on their web site this morning looking at the 3.25 lift for my Rubicon. Sure will be nice to hear what people have to say before I make any move on this.

Knowing what I know now I'd use spacers and UL Rubicon springs obtained locally for this 2dr. The shocks are well just about what I paid for them. Yup, next time around I'd use Rubicon springs, shocks and spacers.

This is a known issue. Search a bit and you'll find several recent threads on it.

One guy said he spoke with RC and they sent him new coils. The second set did the same thing, and the reply he got that time was that the coils were performing 'as designed'.

I have the same problem with all of my springs, I talked with Ben and he is sending me a new set of springs. He also told me that they are currently working on a new type of spring to replace the current 2.5" spring lift. I guess they are going to go to a stiffer spring rate and are no longer going to make the coils progressive. They are currently testing the new springs on two of their JKs and they will release the new kit once the testing is complete.

Once the springs settle, the top coil actually goes inside the 2nd coil a little bit, this is normal for a progressive spring. That is how they get the on road ride to remain soft (like stock) and keep the ability to flex off road. The problem is when the 2nd and the 3rd coil are touching, they can't flex into each other (like the top two) to absorb the small bumps in the road and make on highway ride feel like you driving a lumber truck.
