stubby is good if u do alot of wheeling..and just look good.
i tihnk stingers really should just be on trailer jeeps..not a dd.
i gota the smittybuilt src...i like it. protection for the fender flares...still with the stubby look. easy to clean. sturdy. fits a winch and 2 light tabs. shackels..i recommend it. around 400 dollars shipped.

I went with a Mopar bumper with fog light and winch provisions. I plan on a winch one of these days, but without it I put the plate over the front winch opening using the holes to bolt it on and it looks great. The wide bumper is good for my DD'er. On the trail I now see the advantage of a stubby. In very tight trails as I turn I kept tagging trees with the last 2" of my bumper edges. However, better tapping a steel bumper than ripping off fenders!

I personally like the LoD ones. Hopefully I will be able to get the stubby next spring to match the LoD sliders.

i like the stubby personally. i have been slowly researching as i am trying to figure going with a stubby that has a light bar or keeping the stock bumper and going with a light bar. i really really really like how the stubby looks and how it exposes the front tires.

I am also looking into a front bumper on a DD. So many look nice. Big price difference on some.

I think that mid-width is a good choice on rigs that see both DD use and reasonably technical trail use.

Full-width is good if you need a lot of protection up front (driving a lot of back roads at night, or you use your bumper to break trail in the trees )

Stubbies do look good, but you may want to think twice about giving up the coverage unless you really need the approach angle.

Winch hoops look good on most rigs, and also provide a bunch of extra protection for your winch, and possibly for your rad too.

Stingers...look great on rigs that are BUILT. 37's, flat fenders, tons of suspension travel. If you put them on a 4 door that's on 33 inch AT's with a body lift, it does sorta shout "poser".
