I did a K&N drop in, and I changed my oil to Mobil 1 w/a K&N oil filter; my mpg on the highway increased by a little over 2mpg and my city mph increased by roughly 4mpg. Just saying. My jeep increased it's gas mileage with that small setup. I didn't feel anything though in acceleration or top speed.

I went with AFE as that was the only one available 2.5 years ago.....It has been great....I don't think there is much difference between any of them as to which one is better.....they all free up hp...and are less restrictive than stock.....I have soaked mine a couple times too..completely wet...and was totally fine.....not saying that it wasn't close to hydrolock...cause it was
....Going for some new height on the suspension, so the snorkel will come later....

I have an AEV ram-air snorkel with a k&n drop-in filter, works great. That s&s set up in the above pic looks just like a stock air box with a see-through top?
