0-60 time with 5.7 JK Unlimited (otherwise stock)
I am debating whether or not to spend my "fun car" money on our 4dr JK by swapping in a 5.7 myself using the AEV kit ($10k).
I know I would love it and it would be tons of fun, but I am wondering if anyone has 0-60 times on an otherwise stock JK with a 5.7? Just trying to get a feel for how fast it would be.
Thanks in advance.

The Grand Cherokee 5.7 does 0-60 in 6.9.. So guessing it will be about late 7's maybe even 8..
Wranglers aren't fast cars (rip kitten) and speed shouldn't really be where thoughts are at with them.

I would think it should be right around the same 0-60 times as the stock 5.7L grand cherokee at 7 seconds flat. Stock grand cherokee is ~4500 pounds. Heaviest JK (unlimited rubi) is around 4300 pounds. Then if you add 200 pounds for the extra engine and transmission added to the JK during the swap, your looking at right around the same 0 - 60 time.
Now if you put the 6.1L hemi in a 2-door X JK with a soft top (~3800 pounds) you will probably looking at 0-60 in 4 seconds flat considering the stock SRT8 (~4600 pounds) does it in under 5 seconds

Here is a vid of a guy with a 6.4L in his JK. Looks like he hits 60 in about 6 seconds. Gives you an idea of what ballpark you are looking at.

On a side note, I want this to be as simple, reliable, and streetable as possible since it is my wife's daily driver. The 6.1 or larger Hemi's have some additional complications which make me want to stick with the 5.7 (6.1 apparently has higher powerband, and to do the SIMPLE way with no custom exhaust with AEV kit, uses 5.7 exhaust manifold anyway).
